Change begins with us all.
We all have a passion for helping others and believe that education and community support truly is the key to unlocking children’s potential. We very much believe that all children can have an impact on their communities and aspire to more than they thought was possible. We focus on supporting families and children through family centred projects, supporting the elderly and education initiatives. We will also be supporting young people and adults to gain further qualifications in aviation, tourism and hospitality as well as offering community cricket coaching projects. It’s a privilege to support some of the most rural communities in Sri Lanka to have access to knowledge and the networks they need to learn and develop key life skills - and in turn improve their life chances and bring lasting change.
The project is named after the Manel, a blue water lily that symbolises purity, truth, and discipline. The flower's name comes from the Sinhalese word for "the noblest blue flower" and also has Buddhist significance in the culture. As the national flower of Sri Lanka, it represents the people, culture and traditions of this island nation.
